Palmerston Senior College

This project saw the complete upgrade of the Palmerston Senior College Central Plant equipment, building works and installation of a new AHU.Scheduled during the 2016-2017 Christmas holiday period. This project included the complete demolition of the chiller plant room and the installation of two new water cooled Carrier Chillers, two new BAC cooling towers, eight pumps, Buffer and Expansion tanks with Auto-refill unit, new MSSBs and a Carrier I-Vu Chiller Management System (CMS) along with new Mechanical Electrical, Chiller water pipework and condenser pipework. The external cooling tower enclosure was also upgraded with new louvres to suit the new installation. United also relocated and installed a temporary chiller to enable the school to continue to operate.

Karama Primary School

This project saw the complete upgrade of the School’s Air conditioning system from DX packaged plant to a Central CHW plant. This project included the complete demolition of multiple DX packaged units in 4 separate buildings and the installation of new CHW AHUs to those buildings. These works were carried out over weekend periods, to minimise the disruption to the school. New site wide CHW reticulation pipework was installed to service the new AHUs in the existing buildings and for future upgrades. United built a new fully enclosed central chiller plant room at the rear of the school, which included the installation of two chillers, cooling tower, pumps, buffer tank and new CHW pipework. This project also saw the installation of a new site wide Innotech BMS system to control the new CHW systems. New mechanical electrical was installed to run the new CHW systems which also included the new MSSBs.

Dripstone Middle School

This project saw the complete upgrade of the Dripstone Central plant equipment and to also make way for the CHW connection of the new Henbury School. This project was scheduled during the 2015-2016 Christmas holiday period. This project included the complete demolition of the chiller plant room and the installation of three new variable speed water-cooled Carrier Chillers, two new BAC cooling towers, nine pumps, Buffer and Expansion tanks with Auto-refill unit, new MSSBs and a Carrier I-Vu Chiller Management System (CMS) along with new Mechanical Electrical, Chiller water pipework and condenser pipework. United also supplied and installed the temporary chiller which was utilised on this project.

**Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School Stage 1 & 2**

This project saw the supply and installation of a central chiller plant consisting of two 560kW air-cooled chillers, pumps, site-wide reticulated underground CHW pipework, MSSB and BMS. The site also had 5 buildings which saw the installation of eight AHUs, 50 VAVs, three ERVs, split system, exhaust fans, ductwork, mechanical electrical and MSSBs and Schneider BMS. The CHW reticulated to plant rooms located throughout each building, connected to each AHU

Additional Projects

rdh outpatients

Complete Refurbishment of the ground floor outpatients area including new ductwork, VAVs, Fans, Mechanical electrical, ISAS BMS, smoke zones and fire coordination. This was completed in stages during a functioning hospital environment.

rdh front lobby upgrade

Refurbishment of the front lobby area including new ductwork, VAVs, AHU, CHW pipework, Fans, Mechanical electrical, BMS, smoke zones and fire coordination. This was completed in stages during a functioning hospital environment.

RDH Ward 7C Medical Gas Extension

Installation of new medical gas panels and pipework to suit additional beds.

CDU Data Centre

Supply and installation of mechanical services equipment to the CDU Data centre including Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units, remote condensers, 100% outside air

Taminmin High School Admin building AC upgrade

This project required decommissioning of several existing DX AC plant equipment located outside, in plant rooms and on the roof. United extended the existing Chilled Water (CHW) pipework system to the admin building, installed a new Air Handling Unit (AHU) to the plant room, supplied and installed new ductwork, electrical and controls. This project was completed during the 2014 mid semester break and was delivered on time, ready for the school’s admin team.

Darwin High School Block C upgrade

This project was a mixture of Mechanical Services and Building works, with United being head contractor. This project saw the demolition of existing Mechanical Services like AHUs and Fan Coil Units (FCUs), CHW pipework and electrical. The building works involved demolition of asbestos, ceilings, flooring, benches, fixtures and general demolition. United supplied and installed new AHUs, CHW pipework, electrical, BMS, ductwork and grilles. New building works were infill panelling, new ceilings, flooring, fixtures, joinery, electrical, fire services and concrete slabs. This project was completed at the same time as the above Taminmin Project during the 2014 mid semester break and was delivered on time and at a high quality.

tio stadium

United carried out the first stage of the upgrade works for the TIO stadium. The works involved decommissioning of the existing units and the supply and installation of a new A/C package units for the Bar and Member Area. Various modifications to ductwork, electrical boards and supplies and controls, along with building works were involved. Coupled with a very tight deadline (18 days), United completed the works with a high level of quality and the system was fully functional BEFORE the required deadline.

Stuart Park Early Learning Central Plant upgrade

This project required the complete decommissioning and demolition of the existing central plant system servicing the Early Childhood Centre building during the Christmas 2014-2015 holiday period. United were also required to demolish existing ductwork within the building and run new runs of ductwork to suit the room’s requirements. United also removed asbestos ceilings in the toilets and made good, we carried out a full duct clean to the building, upgraded the main electrical feeding the building from PAWC points and we also built a new chiller enclosure. On top of this we supplied and installed a new Chiller, Chiller water pipework, an AHU, a precooling coil, pumps, a buffer tank and new electrical and controls. The chiller enclose was particularly difficult as we had to work closely and negotiate with PAWC, to allow a building structure over an existing sewer. United had 6 weeks to deliver this project from the date the school shut down. This Project was delivered on time and at a high quality.

Casuarina Secondary College library Upgrade

This project required the complete decommissioning and demolition of the existing packaged plant equipment, ductwork and controls serving the library building during the Christmas 2014-2015 holiday period. This project was running at the same time as the above Stuart Park project. United were also required to carry out minor works inside the library. United supplied and installed two new Air Handling Units complete with Chilled water pipework, electrical and BMS controls. United had 6 weeks to deliver this project from the date the school shut down. This Project was also delivered on time and at a high quality.
